Igeekphone reported on May 26th that the technology media Smartprix released a blog post today (May 26th), revealing that Xiaomi has returned to the Indian market after a four-year absence. Besides launching the Xiaomi 17T series in June, it will also introduce REDMI Turbo 5 and the entry-level REDMI 17 5G.
Igeekphone Note: In January this year, Xiaomi launched the REDMI Turbo 5 series of mobile phones in China, targeting the new generation of performance flagship devices, emphasizing “full performance”. Among them, the Turbo 5 Max model was the first to be equipped with the Tianji 9500s processor and a 9000mAh large battery.

The latest news indicates that the Indian version of REDMI Turbo 5 has the same configuration as the Chinese version available on the market. It features a 6.59-inch 1.5K resolution AMOLED screen and is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor.

Xiaomi also plans to launch the REDMI 17 5G mobile phone in the Indian market. It is positioned for the entry-level market and its target audience consists of consumers who are still using outdated 4G phones and are preparing to upgrade to 5G networks.

In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi REDMI 17 5G phone is expected to feature an LCD screen, a Snapdragon 4-series chip, and a battery capacity of over 7000mAh. It may also come with a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
