On July 26, 2017, Xiaomi VP and Co-founder Hong Feng announced the lightning fast MIUI 9 at the National Convention Center in Beijing.
We decided to release the MIUI 9 China Developer ROM (Beta Version) on 18th, August 2017 so as to make more MIUI fans flash MIUI 9 as soon as possible. If you really want to flash MIUI 9, just come to the right place — MIUI Global Forum. However, we need to clarify the risks that you may take during the flashing, please read the below info carefully before flashing.
The upcoming MIUI 9 China Developer ROM is still a beta version, so bugs are unavoidable. If you find any issues during flashing, please post a thread to report your problem in our forum timely, we will try to check and solve the reported issues as soon as possible. If you cannot endure any bugs, please don’t flash the MIUI 9 China Developer ROM Beta Version and wait for the official version patiently.
The MIUI 9 China Developer ROM for second batch devices can be only flashed through Fastboot method. The download links will be updated daily from 18th August, 2017 to the official release of MIUI 9 ROM. Meanwhile, please do remember to unlock your device before flashing. Important Notices:
1. If you are a Beta tester, you will receive the OTA push from Monday to Thursday after upgrading to MIUI 9 China Developer ROM;
2. If you are not a Beta tester, you will not be able to upgrade daily via OTA after upgrading to MIUI 9 China Developer ROM.
Solutions:
a) MIUI Forum will update the download links daily from 18th August, 2017 to official release of MIUI 9, you can upgrade by flashing manually. After the official release of MIUI 9, you can upgrade to the subsequent MIUI version via OTA every Friday.
b) We are inviting more MIUI fans to join the Beta ROM test to improve and optimize the user experience of MIUI system.
