Lets face it guys, we can treat our smartphones with a bit of contempt sometimes. Add to this the the use of smartphones in our everyday lives has reached phenomenal proportions. Now saying all that, we have to wonder whether are our phones up to the challenge of virtually constant use. In particular are our screens up to it. Tapping away directly on the screen and accidental drops, must take their toll, and the screen is always the first to smash once dropped. The Umi London is about to change all that.
Enter UMi, their new offering, namely the UMi London will come with what UMi call, DG Twin-Shield Technology. UMi claim it will be the toughest dual protected device out there. So, whats it do, UMi will use dual protective T2X-1 glass, combined with 3M double coated foam tapes to protect and strengthen the front panel of the phone. All this will give a much more sturdy front panel. This is the next generation of drop resistant phones, and the UMi London will be the very first with this new drop protection.
Umi claim that Umi DG Twin Shield Technology will give users a buffer of a 1.5M drop resistance which should cater for all those mishaps when you drop you phone while trying to get it out of your pocket our your purse. Umi has also come up with custom designed case for the UMi London that offers even more drop resistance.
