Today the admin from MIUI forum makes an announcement that in order to get the best optimized effect, MIUI will send its last MIUI 10 OS developer beta version, MIUI 8.4.26, after that, its engineers will focus on opimization work, the procedure will take some time, it will recover updating in June, such action makes us think more, will this stop be for MIUI 10 development?
In addition, taking stability and software experience into consideration, parts of MIUI OS based on Android 5.x will stop to MIUI 9 developer or beta version,which will not support higher version to upgrade later. About this parts of models, MIUI also prepares upgraded solution for stable version, users can choose to continue or stay to developer version or make arrangement to upgrade MIUI 9.6 stable version later, maybe in June according to your own needs.
In the second part of the announcement, it has mentioned such models will not upgrade to higher versions such as Redmi note 2, Redmi note 3, Redmi 3 and Xiaomi mi pad 2. The bigger version mentioned will be MIUI 10 which supports upgrades once per year.
