A New Great Way for Freelancers to Generate Passive Income

Brady CottonBy Brady CottonJuly 6, 2022
Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

Most freelancers prefer to supplement their working income with some form of passive earnings. The critical factor is that with the active income, you always must work to keep making money for a living. That is perfectly fine as long as a freelancer has work to do. But there are times, especially for the seasonal freelancers, when they have no projects to work on, which could financially impact them.

On the other hand, passive income is what you get with any effort from you most of the time. Whether you are working or not, it is like a non-stop money-printing device that keeps earning extra cash for you. It can give you support when your customers aren’t providing you with enough work.

If you are one of those freelancers, you are wondering how you can improve your income without working even harder.

Some of the best passive income methods

There are several ways how freelancers can passively make money. Passive income for freelancers usually comes in the form of once done work that will be published or distributed online. It can be a great piece of artwork for freelance designers or a digital marketing course, or a book for marketers and writers.

It’s easier than ever for teachers to sell online courses. It can be marketing, illustration, or entrepreneurship; you can create classes and start selling them. You can repeatedly sell online courses like digital products without holding any inventory or stock.

There are hundreds of online publishing platforms where freelancers can post their work, making it accessible to millions of people to buy or download. In such cases, the passive income comes from sales of your intellectual piece of work and, as cash rewards, paid to the freelancer by the publishing platform.

    AppWork freelancer platform

Today, let’s look at one online platform allowing freelancers from all over the world to make extra income easily. It is called AppWork, and it specializes in providing mobile apps and game developers to publish their products on the Google Play market. Freelancers can join this platform as publishers by providing their Google Play developer account to post the developers’ products and receive rewards and passive income. To create a developer account, you will only need to have an existing or create a new Gmail account.

Of course, AppWork is not a charity platform; it also makes revenue by receiving a commission from the developers’ projects. In relation to developers and freelancers, AppWork serves as a third-side guarantor. It ensures the developers get their product published and maintained on the Google Play market. AppWork also ensures the freelancers complete the product posting task and get paid the rewards.

How much does a freelancer need to invest?

First, we need to mention that working at AppWork will require a small investment from the freelancer. Besides the freelancer’s working time, which is also the investment, there is a small signup fee he needs to invest in temporarily.

The Google Play service demands a $25 lifetime signup payment. That is a one-time investment for a permanent Google developer account. You will need that account to perform the task of uploading the developer’s product on the Google Play market.

However, once you successfully upload and publish the mobile app or game on Google, you’ll be immediately reimbursed those $25 back to your account! The exact time you get the reward for publishing the app or game. You will profit passively from publishing these mobile apps provided to you as tasks on this website.

How much can a freelancer earn working at AppWork?

Since we are talking about passive income, it generally doesn’t depend much on the amount of work you do. Still, your freelance job will be your wallet’s primary source of money flow. In most passive income earning methods, there is no way to make enough to pay for all the living expenses. However, because you don’t need to invest much of your time and money, it is still an excellent opportunity to earn extra bucks for your weekends.

A freelancer who successfully completes the task will first get his $25 initial signup fee investment returned to his account balance.

Next, you will receive around $18 for uploading the app or game to Google. For every day of the app remaining published, you will receive an additional $0.14 bonus. That will give you $4 a month and $51 a year for one mobile app of pure passive income!

Skills you need to have for the AppWork

Most freelancers already have a personal computer and are skillful enough to handle the essential computer work. You will only need to be able to use an Internet browser to sign up for a Google Play developer account and register on the AppWork platform. Next, you will have to start working on your first task involving creating a new mobile app release and uploading the text and images.

AppWork provides a very clear step-by-step manual and the appropriate screenshots. It makes the publishing process go smooth and easy. However, you should prepare for this work and do it properly with the required time. Usually, it is within 2 hours. During the job, you will need to take a few screenshots of your desktop to provide evidence of various stages. That is basically all you should know and be able to do to complete the tasks on AppWork.

These are all the skills that every freelancer already has, and you won’t need to know anything about mobile app development or programming. All you must do is strictly follow the provided instructions within the given time.

Dealing with issues using AppWork support

If you want to ask a question or need to resolve an issue during the work, don’t hesitate to contact the AppWork support team. They are very responsive and ready to answer you. AppWork is giving as much support to its customers as much as possible.

If there’s anything you doubt, go ahead and contact their support available in the online chat on the website.
