AGM is the flagship brand when it comes to rugged smartphones. today company held a launch conference for the AGM G1 Series, which includes two models, the AGM G1 and G1 Pro. The 8GB + 256GB version of the standard variant is priced at 3699 yuan ($578), while the Pro variant is priced at 4999 yuan ($781).
According to reports, the AGM G1 series not only features the well-known AGM technology with three-way protection but also provides a breakthrough in battery life. The battery with a capacity of 6200mAh effectively improved the activity of the electrolyte at low temperatures, so that the novelty can provide operation at a temperature of -30 degrees for 1-day.
The smartphones also feature a 6.53-inch drop-resistant display, a thermal imaging camera in the case of the G1 Pro, a night vision camera, and a laser rangefinder. In terms of core performance, the AGM G1 series is powered by an 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor and 5G support.
The AGM G1 uses the industry’s most sophisticated integrated enclosure to minimize the chance of water ingress. Smartphone screens are filled with adhesive, and Bayer waterproof plugs are used to provide structural waterproofing.
In addition, the AGM G1 series is also 810H certified for 1.5m drop and IP68 + IP69K certified for water resistance up to 1.5m. The upper part of the smartphone is equipped with an infrared laser rangefinder (20 meters), which can accurately and quickly measure the size and spatial distance to an object, instead of using a tape measure.
Still in terms of photography, the AGM G1 and G1 Pro have 48MP main cameras; a 20MP night vision camera for high-detail photos at night; and a macro lens with a 2MP sensor. The differential of the “Pro” model additionally has an independent thermal imaging module. According to available data, compared to a conventional thermal imager, the resolution is increased by 3 times, and the refresh rate is increased by 2.5 times.
Otherwise, the AGM G1 series weighs about 370g and has a maximum thickness of 23mm. It has a 3.5W speaker, precision dual-frequency satellite positioning, a standard 18W charging kit, and warranty service even in the event of a broken screen or water ingress.
Not only that, but AGM also released a special version of the AGM G1 Mod, in which the thermal imager operates at a distance of up to 1-km, there is an independent Beidou network, customizable intercom modules, laser scanning, etc.
