In the middle of this month, Google released the official version of Android 13. Although few models have been able to upgrade early adopters, Google has given a timetable for Android 14.
The Android Beta page shows that the QPR (Quarterly Platform Releases) test of Android 13 was originally scheduled to end in June 2023, but is now advanced to April next year.
Since Google no longer allows two major beta versions to exist at the same time, this means that the first beta version of Android 14 will arrive in April next year, and the rhythm can be described as very fast.
Although it sounds promising, the reality today is that the problem of version fragmentation in the Android camp is still serious and not optimistic.

According to the Android version distribution data released by Google in August this year, Android 11 (Android R) has the largest user base, accounting for about 27%. It is followed by Android 10 (Android Q) with 18.8% and Android 9 (Android P) with 14.5%, and Android 12 (Android S) a year ago with only 13.5%, ranking fourth.
