Igeekphone News, July 2nd: Apple began inviting users yesterday (July 1st) to test the second public Beta version of iOS/iPadOS 18.6, just one day after providing the beta version to developers.
Users who have registered on the Apple Test website can download the iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 updates from the “General” option in the “Settings” app on compatible devices. Apple also released the second round of beta versions of macOS Sequoia 15.6 at the same time.
As of now, no significant new features have been found in the developer beta version. However, the iOS 18.6 update will bring some additional changes to the App Store in the European Union, making it more convenient to install applications and third-party markets from the web.
Although the current iOS version of Apple in the EU region supports the above two behaviors, some warning screens will be inserted, which has attracted the attention of the EU regulatory authorities. Along with the new regulations of the App Store this time, Apple has also reduced these contents with “threatening” implications.
