Igeekphone News, May 7th: Source @94G8LA posted a tweet on the X platform today (May 7th), reporting that the new generation of ASUS handheld game console ROG Ally 2 has passed the certification of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States and will be available in black and white models.
The black version is specially equipped with an Xbox button, suggesting a deep integration of the Xbox ecosystem, which might be used to quickly launch Xbox applications or perform other operations. FCC documents also show that ASUS has optimized and adjusted its appearance. The overall shape is more similar to a game controller, and the rear grip is larger, enhancing the comfort of holding.
There are significant differences in hardware configuration between the two models. The black version is positioned at the high end, equipped with the Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, featuring 8 cores, a TDP as high as 36W, and 64GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory.
The white version adopts the AMD Aeirth Plus processor, with only 4 cores and a TDP of 20W. The memory specifications have not been announced yet. Both devices are equipped with 7-inch 120Hz displays, but there is no information yet to confirm whether the screens have been upgraded. Side photos show that the new devices are a bit heavy in thickness, but the actual feel still needs to be experienced.
