The Longer Ray5 5W laser engraver is equipped with an ESP32 chipset as well as a WiFi connection. It can also be used to cut a wide variety of materials. The 32-bit chipset runs at 240 MHz, making it faster and more powerful than other devices with comparable equipment and 8-bit chipsets. Furthermore, the RAY5 supports WiFi connections running through the website or app to control engraving or cutting.
The 3.5-inch color touchscreen that belongs to the device is equipped with a user-friendly interface. The Longer Ray5 is equipped with a cutting function, it can process multiple pieces of plywood or images to be engraved later without being connected to the computer. The G-code can also be stored on an SD card, which then also enables engraving without a computer.
The Longer Ray5 5 W works with an ultra-fine laser module and the latest FAC laser technology. It achieves a dot size of 0.08 x 0.08 mm. The output power of the laser module is between 5 and 5.5 watts. There is also another laser module that offers an output power of between 8 and 10 watts. The laser is shielded by an acrylic housing. If the engraving area overheats or develops a flame, the thermal protector will trigger an automatic shutdown.
