IGEEKPHONE: Tech media MacRumors published a blog post yesterday (March 2), stating that on the latest iPhone 17e released by Apple, apart from supporting MagSafe magnetic wireless charging and being equipped with the C1X 5G baseband chip, there are several notable details that are worth noting.
The iPhone 17e is equipped with a brand-new A19 chip and incorporates the MagSafe magnetic charging feature. Additionally, the screen features a second-generation ultra-sapphire panel (Ceramic Shield 2) with enhanced scratch resistance.
This device is also equipped with Apple’s latest C1X modem to offer a faster 5G network experience. The initial storage capacity has doubled to 256GB. In addition to the classic black and white colors, a new soft pink option is also available.

Apart from these obvious upgrades, the iPhone 17e also has several notable details that are worth noting. The first is the difference in chip specifications: while the A19 chip in the standard iPhone 17 is equipped with a 5-core GPU, the A19 chip in the iPhone 17e uses a 4-core GPU.
This limitation means that during gameplay, the user’s performance may not be as good as that of the iPhone 17. However, the media pointed out that in daily use, most users are unlikely to notice a significant difference, and the A18 chip of the previous iPhone 16e is also a 4-core GPU.

Furthermore, in the SIM card solution, the domestic version uses a single physical nano-SIM card slot + eSIM design. The official description is “It can activate two eSIMs, or one nano-SIM card and one eSIM.”
IGEEKPHONE reported that previously, the iPhone 16e only adopted the eSIM design in the US market. However, the current iPhone 17e (model A3575) has removed the physical SIM card slot in multiple countries and regions including the US, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
In terms of batteries, the battery capacity of iPhone 17e remains the same as that of the previous model, at 4005mAh. The battery life parameters officially announced are also exactly the same.
In terms of imaging, the new generation of portrait photography can automatically identify people, dogs, and cats. After taking the photo, it saves the depth-of-field information. Users can easily generate portraits and adjust the degree of blurring and the focus point in the photo app.

In terms of memory, the exact capacity of the RAM for iPhone 17e has not been fully confirmed yet, but it is highly likely to be 8GB, which is the same as that of iPhone 16e and the standard version of iPhone 17 (it is expected to be confirmed in the subsequent Xcode test version).
