Snapdragon 710
Recall that the single-chip system Snapdragon 710 was previously referred to as Snapdragon 670, but Qualcomm decided that in terms of its capabilities it is worthy of getting into the segment higher. It is reported that the platform is created according to the standards of 10nm technology LPE (Low Power Early) from Samsung and its architecture includes 8 processor cores: 2 x Kryo 3xx with a frequency of 2.2 GHz and 6 x Kryo 3xx with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz.
The Adreno 615 graphics chip is announced with a frequency of up to 750 MHz, support for 3040×1440 pixels, HDR, LPDDR4x, UFS 2.1, USB Type-C 3.1, 2×2 MIMO (two-stream Wi-Fi), Bluetooth 5.0, modules up to 32 megapixels and cameras with 3 sensors. Platform Snapdragon 710 received ISP-processor Qualcomm Spectra 250 and for the work of AI-algorithms will meet Hexagon Vector eXtensions (HVX).
Snapdragon 730
As for the Snapdragon 730, the newest 8nm LPP technology was prepared for it. According to preliminary information, the new chip is 10% more energy efficient and 10% smaller than the processors created by the standards of the 10nm process technology.
The work of the chip is provided by the same 8 cores as the Snapdragon 710, but the blowing of high-performance cores is broken up to 2.3 GHz, and six are energy-efficient up to 1.8 GHz. The video accelerator is the same, but ISP Spectra 350 is offered for image processing. But nevertheless, the main innovation will be the appearance of a dedicated neural NPU120 chip, similar to that found in the Apple A11 Bionic and Kirin 970.
When Snapdragon 710 and Snapdragon 730 debut, it is not known. There are assumptions that the first smartphones with Snapdragon 710 on board we will see not earlier than the first half of 2019, but with an 8-nanometer chip and then later.
