The long-awaited drone manufacturer DJI has finally officially released its newest drone which consists of two products, namely the DJI Mavic 3 and 3 Cine. Both are successors to the 2018 Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom drones. The Mavic 3 and 3 Cine have identical specifications with a number of differences. Both are equipped with a 5000mAh battery that is claimed to be able to fly for 46 minutes under ideal conditions.

The flight time is longer than the Mavic 2 series which is in the range of 30 minutes. Batteries of both drones are removable and can be in – charge directly at the drone via a USB cable type-C with power up to 65 watts. For the camera, the DJI Mavic 3 and 3 Cine are equipped with a module containing two cameras.

The first camera has a 20MP Micro-Four-Thirds sensor made by Hasselblad with a 24 mm wide-angle lens (variable aperture f/2.8-11). The main camera supports 5.1K (5120 x 2700 pixels) video recording at up to 50 fps, DCI 4K (4096 x 2160 pixels), and 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) up to 120 fps, and 1080p up to 200 fps. Other features include Advanced RTH (return to home), APAS 5.0, and ActiveTrack 5.0. Both drones are also equipped with DJI OcuSync 3+ transmission technology which promises a range of up to 15-km in open landscapes or 3km in urban environments, with 1080p 60 fps live feed on mobile.
