News source Jasper Ellens shared the latest photos yesterday showing the DJI Mavic 4 Pro drone and revealing some significant design changes with its predecessor.
The leaked images show that the drone’s camera system is being evaluated along with a DJI Air 3S, an OPPO smartphone, and a suspected full-frame micro-single camera. This professional test unit is equipped with precision alignment tools and a light mask, indicating that DJI is in the late stages of image quality optimization. The related pictures of Igeekphone are as follows:
The most striking feature of the Mavic 4 Pro in this exposure is its redesigned camera system, which features a unique three-lens configuration and is mounted on a head that looks sturdier than the Mavic 3 Pro. The configuration may include previously rumored equivalent 24mm, 70mm (and possibly 50mm) and 166mm focal lengths.
An important addition to the design is the addition of a striking radiator at the rear of the fuselage, indicating that DJI prioritized thermal management to cope with the expected more powerful imaging system.
Looking closely at the camera and PTZ Settings, the Mavic 4 Pro’s camera appears to be able to shoot straight up and down for more creative aerial images and footage.
Compared to the Mavic 3 Pro, the Mavic 4 Pro test model retains the signature folding mechanism of the Mavic series, but uses a more streamlined arm, in addition to two fisheye obstacle avoidance sensors, and an LED indicator mounted above the body, indicating DJI’s continued focus on safety.
