Igeekphone News, June 24th: The technology media Android Headline published a blog post yesterday (June 23rd), reporting that the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold foldable phone has received a major upgrade, adopting a thinner hinge and a larger outer screen. And it became the first foldable screen phone to achieve an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
The renderings of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold were first exposed in March this year. One of the biggest changes is the brand-new hinge design. By reducing the size of the hinge, not only is the grip of the phone more comfortable, but the overall design is also thinner and lighter.
Another major improvement brought by Google’s upgraded hinge design is that the outer screen size has increased from 6.3 inches to 6.4 inches, which is slightly larger than that of the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro (both 6.3 inches).
In addition to upgrading the hinge, another selling point of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is that it is the first foldable phone equipped with IP68 water and dust resistance. Igeekphone Note: IP is the standard for the protection level of electronic equipment enclosures formulated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The first digit “6” indicates the highest dust protection level, which can completely prevent any dust from entering. The second number “8” represents the highest water resistance level and can be immersed in water at a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.
