Google Pixel 8 is officially released and it may still be the smoothest Android phone in the world

Some time ago, Huawei Mate60 Pro equipped with Kirin 9000S was released, so that countless users called it the product closest to the iPhone fluency, but everyone knows that apart from the “familiar” Android brand, Google’s own Pixel series has been the product closest to the iPhone fluency.

Yesterday evening, Google Made By Google 23 officially launched the latest series of their own Google Pixel – Google Pixel 8/8 Pro.

Google Pixel 8/8 Pro is equipped with Google’s latest self-developed Tensor G3 (1 x Cortex-X3, 4 x Cortex-A715, 4 x Cortex-A510, Samsung 4nm technology) processor and Titan M2 security chip, The Google Pixel 8 comes with 8GB of RAM as standard, and the 8 Pro comes with 12GB of RAM as standard, both of which are preloaded with the latest Android 14 operating system.

According to data from GeekBench 6, the Google Pixel 8 Pro with Tensor G3 has a single-core score of 1760 and a multi-core score of 4442.

In terms of screen, the front of the Google Pixel 8 Pro is a 6.7-inch QHD (1344 x 2992) resolution Super Actua display, which supports 1 ~ 120Hz LTPO dynamic refresh, and the peak brightness is 2400nit.

Google Pixel 8 screen is 6.2 inch FHD + (1080 x 2400) resolution Actua display, support 60 ~ 120Hz LTPO dynamic refresh, peak brightness 2000nit.

The configuration of the lens module is as follows: Google Pixel 8 Pro5000W main camera OIS Octa-PD4800W Ultra-wide Angle Quad-PD4800W telephoto Quad-PD 5X Optical Zoom 30X Fusion zoom Google Pixel 85000W Main camera 1200W Both models have a front-facing lens with 1050W pixels.

In addition, the Google Pixel 8 Pro has an additional temperature sensor under the rear lens mode flash (similar to the Huawei Mate40 RS collection version), which is officially claimed to “quickly measure body temperature and external temperature.”

At present, the temperature detection App equipped with Google Pixel 8 Pro mobile phone has passed the US FDA review, Google said that these temperature data can be recorded in the Fitbit app.

In terms of battery life, Google Pixel 8 Pro has a built-in 5050 mah battery, which supports 30W wired charging and 23W wireless charging. The Google Pixel 8 has a 4,575 mah battery that supports 27W wired and 18W wireless charging.

Google Pixel 8 Pro provides users with three colors of bay blue, obsidian black and ceramic rice, and Pixel 8 provides users with three colors of fog gray, obsidian black and rose powder.

    In terms of price, the Pixel 8 will cost $699 for 8+128GB and $759 for 8+256GB. The Pixel 8 Pro costs $999 for 12+128GB, $1,059 for 12+256GB, $1,179 for 12+512GB, and $1,399 for 12+1T.

At the same time, Google announced at the press conference that it will release a virtual Assistant powered by Band – Google Assistant with Bard – in the near future to help users deal with more complex tasks.

The Google Assistant, which can help users of products like Android phones and Google smart speakers complete tasks and find information, will have some of the features of the chatbot Bard.

In addition to mobile phones, Google has also officially released the Pixel Watch 2 generation. The whole Watch still uses the simple style of the Pixel Watch generation, but the stainless steel is changed to a lighter recycled aluminum, and the rotating crown on the right side of the watch is more generous, convenient for users to operate.

Surprisingly, the resolution of Google Pixel Watch 2 has decreased compared to the original, only 383×384 pixels (the original 450×450 pixels), equipped with Qualcomm W5+ Gen1 processor, using 2GB of memory.

Pixel Watch 2 adds three new sensors to support heart rate, body temperature, body reaction detection, fall detection and other functions, and the official battery life is 24 hours.

The Pixel Watch 2 supports UWB ultra-wideband technology, which can track other UWB devices more accurately than Bluetooth. The Google Pixel Watch 2 costs $349 for Bluetooth and $400 for LTE. The cheapest new product released at the event was the Pixel Buds Pro, which was only $199.99.

In terms of shape design, the headset has blue, white, red, black, blue, yellow six colors, using Bluetooth 5.0 connection, each earbud weight is 6.2g, the charging case weight is 62.4g. Pixel Buds Pro supports active noise reduction and transparency mode, the official said that after the noise reduction is turned off, it will have 31 hours of battery life, and the total listening after the noise reduction is often 20 hours, and the charge can be used for 1 hour after 5 minutes.

In addition, Pixel Buds Pro adds a low latency mode, which reduces the latency by 50% compared to the previous generation after opening, but at the cost of sacrificing some sound quality. Users who pre-order the Pixel 8 on the official website will get a free Pixel Buds Pro, while those who purchase the Pixel 8 Pro will get a free Pixel Watch 2.

Android 14 has been pushed to Google Pixel 4a (5G) and newer models, and phones from Samsung, Nothing, OnePlus, OPPO, Xiaomi, realme, SONY, Sharp, vivo and iQOO will receive updates later this year.
