The HarmonyOS 3.1 developer preview is now available. The HarmonyOS 3.1 Release will be released in March 2023 according to Huawei’s release schedule. Therefore, the P60 series with HarmonyOS 3.1 is likely to be released in March.
Around Harmony OS 3.1, Huawei has brought a new and upgraded Harmony development suite, including development language ArkTS, development framework ArkUI, compiler ArkCompiler, etc., which has been comprehensively optimized from the whole process of design, development, testing, and launching.
In view of the problem that the application startup of traditional dynamic typed languages is slow due to variable uncertainty and compilation, parsing and optimization in the startup and running stage, ArkCompiler breaks through the dynamic language that can be compiled with type, supports object persistence and rebinding technology, and implements the industry’s first dynamic typed language AOT compilation mode. The startup time of applications can be significantly shortened.
With ArkCompiler with high load and complex application, the startup speed of low-configuration models is improved by 30% compared with traditional models. At the same time, ArkCompiler also provides a variety of source protection technologies, greatly improving the security of JS/TS source code.
