Is Microsoft Azure Good on Smartphones?

Brady CottonBy Brady CottonFebruary 15, 2022

These days, cloud computing platforms and applications are proliferating across many industries, being the primary IT infrastructure for driving modern businesses. As a result, they’ve revolutionized how organizations function, streamlining processes and making workflows much easier. In fact, over 70% of companies use the cloud today in one form or another for their respective computing infrastructures.

While various platforms for cloud computing are available, one of the most popular ones dominating the industry is Microsoft Azure. This piece will discuss what it’s all about and whether or not it’s good on smartphones.

Microsoft Azure — what is it?

Microsoft Azure is a platform for cloud computing and an online portal that enables users to manage and access Microsoft resources and services. Depending on the requirements, some of these services include the transformation and storage of data. It also offers access to Azure managed services, such as the design, implementation, and management of networks and virtual machines, to name a few. Some of the things you need to know about it are the following:

    • It was initially launched much later than AWS, its main competitor.
    • While it’s accessible when you’re starting, the pay-per-use model it follows means that you’ll only spend for solutions you decide to get.
    • A considerable percentage of Fortune 500 organizationsuse Microsoft Azure to meet their needs for cloud computing.
    • It supports many different programming languages, including Node.js and Java.
    • Microsoft Azure has the most data centers worldwide.

    What services does it provide?

This piece of cloud technology provides over two hundred services divided into different categories, including but not necessarily limited to artificial intelligence, computing, IoT, storage, networking, machine learning, security, and many others. Here are a few important services the platform offers:

    • Virtual machines. This solution enables users to create virtual machines in any configuration, whether Windows or Linux.
    • Cloud service. This gives the ability to develop scalable applications on the cloud. After the deployment of the application, Azure takes care of the provisioning, health monitoring, and load balance.
    • Service fabric. The service fabric simplifies the development of microservices.
    • Through functions, the creation of applications using various programming languages is made possible.
    • Azure CDN. This service is aimed to deliver content to the users. It utilizes high bandwidth, with the content being transferred to anyone worldwide through a network of strategically-placed servers that grant immediate access to the data.

    Is it good on smartphones?

Now that you know what Microsoft Azure is about, the question is, is it good on smartphones? And the answer is yes. Through the mobile application, available for Android and IOS devices, users are able to monitor resources and receive health alerts. Moreover, it gives the ability to fix and diagnose issues and manage all assets through the cloud shell.

    Conclusion

Not many are on the same level as Microsoft Azure when it comes to cloud computing. With its seemingly limitless features, services, and compatibility with a wide range of devices, it’s one of the best options for the technology.
