According to the official website of Japan Tobacco on June 30th, Japan Tobacco Corporation (JT) will launch its new heated tobacco equipment “Ploom AURA” and dedicated tobacco sticks “EVO” nationwide starting from July 1st, 2025. This national release will cover major convenience stores and some tobacco specialty stores.
To celebrate the national release, the Ploom AURA entry-level package will offer a limited-time discount from July 1st to August 17th. The price will be reduced from the original 2,980 yen (approximately $18) (including tax) to 1,480 yen (approximately $9) (including tax). This promotion is applicable to JT online Mall, all Ploom stores across the country and designated sales channels.
Ploom AURA is equipped with the “SMART HEATFLOW” intelligent heating technology. In addition, the device supports the “HEAT SELECT SYSTEM” with four heating modes, and users can choose to use them according to their personal preferences. EVO is the first high-end heated tobacco cartridge brand of Japan Tobacco Corporation, launched simultaneously with the equipment.
Japan Tobacco said that after the pre-sale on May 27th, Ploom AURA and EVO received favorable comments from users, and the two products set the highest sales record in JT’s history during the trial sale period.
