A couple of days ago, on the website of the Chinese center for the certification of telecommunications equipment TENAA, new Meizu 16 and 16 Plus smartphones were seen until they were officially announced by the manufacturer. Then the regulator published only photos with a scant description, and now a detailed description of the characteristics is available.
Technical Features of Meizu 16
The standard version, according to what TENAA states, measures 150.5 x 73.2 x 7.3 mm and has a weight of 156 grams. The display is a 6-inch AMOLED with a FullHD + resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels); as regards the battery this device mounts a unit of 2950 Mah. Under the body is a Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor up to 2.8 GHz.
The photographic compartment is composed of two 12MP + 21MP sensors with 3X optical zoom. At the front, there is a single 20MP sensor. Speaking of memory this device has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The certification confirms the fingerprint reader installed in the display. The operating system will be Android Oreo 8.1.
Meizu 16 Plus Technical Features
Speaking instead of the Plus version, it mounts a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD + resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels). The battery is a unit of 3570mAh. Also, in this case, we find a 2.8 GHz octa-core processor. The dimensions of this device are 160.4 x 78.2 x 7.3 mm while the weight is equal to 180 grams.
As for the compartment of memories on this device, the RAM is 6GB while the internal memory of 128GB. The photosensors should be the same as those of the standard version and also, in this case, the digital fingerprint reader will be under the display. The operating system will be Android Oreo 8.1.
Also coming a new version with the Snapdragon 710?
Both should not have the band 20 (unfortunately). As for the colors, they should be three: Black; Silver and Blue. Discovered all the details on the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus now await new information on the variant that should have the Snapdragon 710. The latter was unveiled previously by CEO Jack Wong. The official debut of Meizu 16 and 16 Plus is expected on August 8, the day before the flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
