Earlier last week, we were one of the first publication online to report that Meizu is working on a new E-series smartphone that would be powered by Exynos 8890 processor and may release on August 10. As you can see in the pics below the press invitation had the letter ‘E’ mentioned on it.
Now we have further information about the product and as per our sources, it will be named ‘Meizu Edge’, will feature curved screen and dual-camera. Below are the leaked images of the supposedly Meizu Edge smartphone.
As mentioned earlier, it is evident from the above pics that the device will be featuring Edge screen similar to the one seen in Samsung’s various flagship devices including Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Further, as per the leaked images, the device will be featuring a dual-lens rear camera. In case you’re wondering, dual lens camera is an advanced imaging technology, debuted in HTC M8, helps in better photography than the conventional single lens camera.
Earlier last month, Meizu’s CEO had also confirmed that it is working on a curved screen smartphone that will be running on Flyme 6 UI on top of the latest version of Android operating system.
Regarding the pricing of the Meizu Edge, since its rival – Xiaomi is aiming at the high-end market with Xiaomi Note 2 and had earlier said that it will be priced around $700, our guess is that the Meizu Edge will be priced around that bracket.
