In China, the Oppo R15 and the Oppo R15 Plus were presented with a display recess. The Oppo brand, like OnePlus and Vivo, belongs to BBK-Electronics, one of the world’s largest smartphone producers, and has served as a design template for its sister brands in the past. The housings were either the same or at least very similar. If the company remains true and the OnePlus 6 again becomes an optical twin of the Oppo series, the smartphone also gets the Notch. A design element that has been used more and more frequently since the presentation of the Apple iPhone X.
This would also confirm the recent rumors that the OnePlus 6 (like the Oppo R15) gets a 6.28 inch AMOLED display in 19: 9 format. Inside the case, however, the OnePlus model is likely to be much better positioned: This information coincides with the statements made by OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau, last January when he announced that the next OnePlus phone would have a new processor.
The smartphone should get a powerful Snapdragon 845 and Xiaomi Mi 7 is also coming to with it. OnePlus 6 is expected to have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, Android 8.1 Oreo and a vertical 16MP dual camera (just as in the iPhone X) and it will a have 3400mAh battery.
According to a recent photo, the OnePlus 6 looks almost the same as the 5T, with one important difference. The back is in fact made of glass, making wireless charging a possibility.
Presumably, the fingerprint scanner is on the back, under the double camera. An earlier message suggested that this scanner is being processed in the screen like Vivo. Of course it is also possible to unlock the device with your face, thanks to Face Unlock.
Continuing with the filtered images, the OnePlus 6 prototype (model A6000) has obtained 276,510 points in the AnTuTu benchmark. If that were true, it would mean that the OnePlus 6 would be the most powerful Android smartphone.
After the announcement of Xiaomi Mi 7, Oneplus 6 followed the news, and both phones were equipped with the latest Snapdragon 845. According to industry sources, OnePlus 6 should be released in the same period as Xiaomi Mi 7, aiming to grab the high-end market with Xiaomi Mi 7.
