OnePlus presented its latest terminal just over a month ago, the OnePlus 6T, which managed to dazzle users and press alike. A few weeks ago, the company began to show some progress on what they were preparing with McLaren, which has been presented as an authentic beast of speed. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is one of the few terminals that currently has 10GB of RAM insides, such as the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, the Nubia Red Magic 2 or the Black Shark Helo.
In terms of specs, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is claimed to be the world’s first commercially available smartphone to offer 10GB of RAM, which will work in combination with Qualcomm’s proven Snapdragon 845 and 256GB of storage memory. For the rest, the specifications are identical to the basic versions of the OnePlus 6T: 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 resolution, a the in-display fingerprint scanner and dual rear camera with 16MP and 20MP sensors, and its 3700mAh battery.
Just in relation to the battery, the Chinese company has introduced a new standard of fast recharge, which in some ways recalls the concept of “speed” of the McLaren. It’s called Warp Charge 3.0 and is able to charge the smartphone in just 20 minutes, ensuring a day full of autonomy. In short, a sort of evolution of the Dash Charge, a system that we have widely learned to appreciate over the years on the smartphone of the Chinese company.
In line with its “Salute to Speed” tagline, the smartphone features the Warp Charge 30, a new charging technology that OnePlus claims can juice up the device’s battery up to 50% in just 20 minutes. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will be available for purchase Both in Europe and the United States from next December 13 at 10:00 am EST for $699.
