According to PR Times Japan, Philip Morris International Japan (PMJ) announced the launch of the limited model “Galaxy Blue” of the heated tobacco equipment IQOS ILUMA i series. This product will be gradually available for sale in the Japanese market starting from October 29th.
According to Philip Morris Japan, the design of “Galaxy Blue” is based on the concept of “Endless Journey”, inspired by the mystery and infinite possibilities of the universe. The main body of the charger adopts a deep blue color scheme, symbolizing the night sky, while the door cover part presents a visual effect of stars shining with gradient colors.

Daniel Sevcik, the director of the market portfolio of Philip Mo Japan, said that this limited edition aims to strengthen the brand impression of the “innovation” theme of IQOS ILUMA i and showcase a sense of future technology. This model will be sold in a specially designed package, with a suggested retail price of 6,980 Japanese yen (approximately 46 US dollars).

In addition, PMJ also announced that it will introduce a new Regular flavor product, “TEREA Clear Regular”, in the IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i series dedicated cartridge TEREA, which will be available for sale successively starting from October 27th. The new flavor focuses on smoothness, balance and a refreshing aftertaste, and it is the sixth product in TEREA’s regular series.

Sefsik pointed out that although the penetration rate of the conventional (non-mint) category in the heated tobacco market is still lower than that of mint or flavored products, its users are stable and have high loyalty, so there is still room for growth.
