It is reported that the first model will still be the flagship of the Xiaomi Mi 12 digital series, and it may be unveiled in November at the earliest, which is earlier than in the past. However, in view of the original intention performance of the K40 series this year, everyone’s expectations for the Redmi K50 are higher.
According to past practices, the Redmi K series models are a little later than other Snapdragon 898 models at the launch conference. On the one hand, it is to observe the opponents’ movements and make it easier to set a suitable price. On the other hand, it is also to pave the way for the Xiaomi 12 series. This time, due to the advancement of Mi 12, the K50 may also be released this year, following the “Big Brother” debut at the end of December.
According to previous news, there are still three new models in the Redmi K50 series. One of them will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chip, while the other two will be equipped with the “898” chip. The Snapdragon 898 will be equipped with a three-cluster CPU design with a large core frequency. At 3.09GHz, Antutu’s running points may exceed one million for the first time.
In addition, some sources revealed that the Redmi K50 series will be equipped with 100W fast charging for the first time, and it is expected to be at least 120W fast charging specifications, but the standard version should not support 100W, only the Pro+ version will be equipped.
