This evening marked the official release of the Redmi K70 series of new phones at the Redmi 10th Anniversary and K70 series mobile phone new product launch conference. This article focuses on introducing the standard version model, positioned as a “new generation flagship performance new phone,” with a benchmark price starting at 2,499 yuan.
Regarding appearance, the Redmi K70 asserts parity with the Pro version, featuring a four-curved body, velvet glass texture, and matte metal middle frame. It comes in four colors: Bamboo Moon Blue, Light Eggplant Purple, Clear Snow, and Black Feather.
Performance-wise, the Redmi K70 is powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 8, boasting a comprehensive running score exceeding 1.71 million. It is complemented by LPDDR5X memory, and UFS 4.0 flash memory, and supports Fury Engine 3.0, along with a 5000mm² ring-shaped cold pump VC liquid cooling system.
The Redmi K70 shares the same screen, image, and charging configuration as the Pro version. Specifically, it features a 6.67-inch 3200×1400 CSOT C8 OLED flexible straight screen. The display boasts a manual maximum brightness of 700nit, full-screen excitation of 1200nit, local peak brightness of 4000nit, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate (instantaneous 2160Hz), 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 12bit color depth, and JNCD of approximately 0.35.
In terms of imaging, the device houses a 16MP front camera (OmniVision OV16A1Q) and a rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera (Light Hunter 800, 1/1.55″, OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (OmniVision OV08D10), and a 2MP macro lens (SmartWay SC202PCS). As for battery life, the Redmi K70 is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, supports 120W fast charging, and features the self-developed fast charging chip ThePaper P2 + the self-developed power management chip ThePaper G1.
