Currently, two popular Redmi mobile phone models are available at around 2,000 yuan: the Redmi Note 12T Pro and the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. Let’s compare their configurations, design, performance, and screen quality to understand their differences and advantages. Both phones offer excellent cost-effectiveness and are suitable for long-term use.

    Redmi Note 12T Pro:

    Reference price: 1499 yuan – 8G + 128G, 1599 yuan – 8G + 256G, 1699 yuan – 12G + 256G, 1899 yuan – 12G + 512G.

    Configuration

    It has a Dimensity 8200-ultra processor, LPDDR5+UFS3.1 storage, 6.6-inch LCD center-hole straight screen, 1080p resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and a 5080mAh battery with a 67W fast charging. It has a 16MP front camera and a rear triple camera setup (64MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro).
Design: Body size 163.64×74.29×8.87mm, weight 200g, rear shell + plastic material frame.

    Redmi Note 12 Turbo

    Reference price: 1699 yuan – 8G + 128G, 1799 yuan – 8G + 256G, 1899 yuan – 12G + 256G, 1999 yuan – 12G + 512G, 2299 yuan – 16G + 1TB.

    Configuration

    It has a Snapdragon 7+Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5+UFS3.1 storage, 6.67-inch OLED center-hole straight screen, 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 5000mAh battery with a 67W fast charging. It has a 16MP front camera and a rear triple camera setup (64MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro with OIS).
Design: Body size 161.11×74.95×7.9mm, weight 181g, plastic material back shell + plastic material frame.

    Design

The appearance of both phones is similar, but Redmi Note 12 Turbo is lighter and thinner, weighing 181g and measuring 7.9mm, while Redmi Note 12T Pro weighs 200g and has a thickness of 8.87mm, retaining the screen plastic bracket. Redmi Note 12 Turbo feels lighter and thinner, providing a better look and texture.

    Hardware

Both phones have excellent performance, but Redmi Note 12 Turbo with Snapdragon 7+Gen 2 processor is slightly more robust (running score of up to 1 million) compared to the Dimensity 8200-ultra processor in the Redmi Note 12T Pro (running score of about 900,000).

    Screen

Redmi Note 12 Turbo has an OLED screen with a resolution of 1080p, 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 1000 nits global excitation brightness, offering better color accuracy and overall display effect. In contrast, Redmi Note 12T Pro has an LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, providing higher picture fluency, longer lifespan, and better eye protection.

    Battery

Both phones have similar battery life, with a slight capacity difference of only 80mAh. They both support 67W fast charging, offering a similar battery life experience.

    Cameras

Both phones have a 16MP front camera and a rear triple camera setup. However, Redmi Note 12 Turbo has the advantage of OIS (optical image stabilization), providing more stable pictures and videos.

    Conclusion

Redmi Note 12 Turbo is more potent overall but comes at a slightly higher price. If you prioritize high performance, a thinner and lighter feel, and a brighter OLED screen, go for Redmi Note 12 Turbo. On the other hand, if you have a limited budget and prefer an eye-protecting and smooth LCD screen, Redmi Note 12T Pro is a good option. Both phones offer robust cost-effectiveness, ensuring a satisfactory user experience for years to come.
