As reported by tech blogger Smart Pikachu, the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro is set to debut in late April, marking the first smartphone to integrate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
Earlier, company executive Wang Teng hinted at the device’s capabilities, stating it would be “unrivaled within its price segment” and urging consumers to anticipate its release.
The phone’s standout feature lies in its performance, driven by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. Notably, this marks the debut of a “full-big core” architecture in the 8s series. Its CPU configuration includes a single 3.21GHz X4 core, three 3.01GHz A720 cores, two 2.80GHz A720 cores, and two 2.02GHz A720 cores, paired with an Adreno 825 GPU—part of the same generation as the flagship Adreno 830 found in the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition.
Benchmark tests reveal the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 delivers performance nearly matching its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while boasting superior energy efficiency. In gaming scenarios, it reportedly outperforms both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+, offering smoother frame rates.
Beyond raw power, the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro is equipped with a massive 7,550mAh battery, positioning it as a leader in battery life, complemented by 90W rapid charging. Design-wise, the Pro variant elevates aesthetics with a 6.8-inch 1.5K flat display featuring slim bezels, rounded edges, and a metal frame. However, the imaging takes a backseat with a minimalist dual-camera setup.
Positioned between the budget-friendly Turbo 4 (priced at $225), the Turbo 4 Pro is expected to start around $245 with subsidies, bridging the gap in REDMI’s lineup.
