Igeekphone News, December 3rd: Samsung has officially announced its next-generation flagship smartphone chip Exynos 2600. This chip is expected to be installed in the Galaxy S26 series of phones, which are scheduled to be released in early 2026. Previously, Samsung had not publicly confirmed the name of the chip.

Igeekphone noticed that Samsung released a teaser video of the Exynos 2600 on its official YouTube channel. In the video, the company stated: “In silence, we listened.” This statement might refer to the fact that some Exynos chips have previously been controversial due to performance and overheating issues. This is regarded as Samsung’s indirect admission of criticism of its chips from the outside world and indicates the company’s intention to improve the shortcomings of its past products.
It is reported that this new-generation flagship chip will be manufactured using the 2-nanometer process technology of Samsung Foundry. Samsung described it as “core refinement” and “full-level optimization”, suggesting that the company has made significant efforts to enhance the energy efficiency and performance of the Exynos 2600. In addition, Samsung also claimed that this Exynos processor is designed to “demonstrate excellence”.

However, it is still unclear whether the chip has truly achieved high efficiency, high speed and comprehensive optimization. As is customary, Samsung usually announces its flagship chip one month before the release of a new generation of flagship phones. Given that the Galaxy S26 series is expected to hit the market in February 2026, the Exynos 2600 is expected to be officially released this month or next month.
