Samsung is known for launching ruggedized version of its Galaxy S series of smartphones each year. Now that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. are already available in markets, the rumor mill is now speculating on the arrival of the Galaxy S9 Active. A leaked photo showing the key specs of the S9 Active have appeared.
The very first line mentioned on the leaked specs sheet of the Galaxy S9 Active is that it has a model number of SM-G893. This seems to be correct because the Galaxy S8 Active that had launched in 2017 had a model number of SM-G892. Also, the model number of S7 Active from 2016 was SM-G891.
Leaked sheet of specs for the Galaxy S9 Active states that will be arriving with a 5.8-inch display. However, it is unlikely to sport Infinity Display design. The screen is expected to support QHD resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. The rest of the specs seems to be borrowed from the non-Active edition of S9.
The S9 Active is expected to feature Snapdragon 845, 4 GB of RAM and internal storage of 64 GB. Its dual camera setup is expected to include 12-megapixel sensor with dual aperture f/1.5 and f/2.4. For selfies, it will be fitted with an 8-megapixel with an aperture of f/1.7. The handset will receive power from 4,000mAh battery.
There is no confirmation on the launch date for Samsung S9 Active. The Galaxy S8 Active was made official in August. The S9 Active may get official by the end of this quarter or early in Q3.
