In terms of appearance, compared with the previous generation, the Book5 Edge has slightly increased in size, with a thickness of 15.5 millimeters and a weight of 1.66 kilograms.
The most crucial improvement of the new model lies in its network connection capability. IT Home quoted a blog post as introducing that Samsung has introduced 5G network support for this series. Through the built-in 5G modem, users can access the Internet at high speed via cellular data even in an environment without Wi-Fi.
To support this feature, Samsung replaced the original microSD card reader with a multi-functional card slot, which can now accommodate SIM cards and provide the device with independent mobile communication capabilities.
Battery life is another major selling point of the Galaxy Book5 Edge. The device is equipped with a 61.2Wh battery. Official data shows that its continuous video playback time can reach up to 27 hours, but the actual battery life may vary depending on specific usage conditions. Meanwhile, this notebook supports fast charging up to 65W via the USB-C interface, effectively reducing the charging waiting time.
In terms of other configurations, the Galaxy Book5 Edge is equipped with a 15.6-inch 16:9 display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.
This notebook is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X1-26-100 processor, featuring 8 cores with a maximum frequency of 3.0GHz and a maximum AI computing power of 45 TOPS.
The interface configuration is relatively complete, providing two USB-C interfaces supporting the USB 4 protocol, one traditional USB-A interface and one HDMI 2.1 video output interface. In addition, this device also supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connection standards.
