Igeekphone July 22nd News: According to the latest revelation by Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple’s first foldable iPhone is set to be released in the second half of 2026, with a price possibly exceeding $2,000 (approximately 14,345 yuan), setting a new price ceiling for iphones.
It is reported that the foldable iPhone will adopt a book-style folding design. The main screen will be exclusively supplied by Samsung Display. Apple is focusing on the durability of the hinge and the visibility of the crease, with the goal of having a folding life of over 200,000 times.

At the system level, iOS 27 will add new features such as task floating Windows, dynamic split-screen and external screen quick cards, fully leveraging the advantages of large screens.
Supply chain insiders disclosed that foldable panels have undergone small-scale trial production and are expected to enter large-scale mass production by the end of 2025 at the earliest, with an estimated inventory of over 10 million pieces.
Facing Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi’s years of deep cultivation in the foldable market, Apple will now bet on high-end users in China, hoping to break through in the highly competitive foldable screen field by leveraging brand stickiness and the high-end user base.
