Igeekphone December 16 news, at today’s TCL new technology conference, TCL QD-Mini LED new technology was officially announced.
TCL QD-Mini LED new technology covers light chip, lens technology, OD, light and shadow control algorithm, screen and many other aspects.
In terms of chips, the brightness of TCL polycore optical core is claimed to increase by 53.8% and energy efficiency is increased by 10%.
In terms of lens technology, TCL announced the fourth generation of condensing microlens technology, equipped with an upgraded version of arch bridge light control technology, including multiple refraction light control design, LSR flexible optical materials, micro and nano 3D molding process.
In terms of OD value (the distance between the backlight board and the screen), TCL indicates that the smaller the OD value, the stronger the halo control ability and the thinner the TV. TCL also said that the overall thickness of less than 60mm is generally macro OD.
In terms of algorithms, TCL’s self-developed light and shadow control algorithm ushered in upgrades, including transient response, two-way 32bit dimming, and a new super-dynamic light and shadow bionic algorithm, which is known as “can optimize the SDR signal into a near-HDR effect.”
In terms of screen, the native contrast ratio of TCL Huaxing HVA screen has been increased to 7000:1, which is greatly improved compared with the general IPS screen.
TCL also announced the Quantum Dot Pro 2025 technology for QD-Mini LED TVS, which supports 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1.07 billion colors and ΔE < 0.99.
Igeekphone learned from the conference that TCL also announced the TV’s spirit control system 3.0, which supports 4K wallpaper, card number, voice add/delete cards, and screen operation step optimization.
Spirit Control 3.0 supports NAS protocols such as FTP, SMB, NFS, WebDAV, and comes with Xbox/Switch/PlayStation custom themed skins for gamers.
TCL also officially released the “Fuxi AI Grand Model” today, covering 16 AI agents.
