TCL showed off its first augmented reality (AR) glasses, the RayNeo X2, at CES 2023.
The RayNeo X2 introduces a binocular full-colour Micro-LED optical waveguide display with a brightness of up to 1,000 Nits, and includes a 16-megapixel camera in the glasses that can record 1080p video and take photos.
TCL said the RayNeo X2 also supports AI translation in multiple languages, with AR glasses displaying subtitles in real time when a user is speaking face-to-face with a person in another language.
In terms of core configuration, the RayNeo X2 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor, which significantly improves the performance of the Snapdragon XR2 compared to the previous generation. The CPU and GPU performance is improved by 2 times, the resolution is improved by 6 times, and the AI performance is improved by 11 times. In addition, it is equipped with 6GB memory and 128GB storage space.
In addition, the AR glasses support Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-fi connectivity, and can display notifications on the screen when connected to the phone, allowing users to receive messages or calls at any time.

TCL RayNeoX2 will be available to developers in selected regions by the end of the first quarter of this year, followed by a commercial release.
