Igeekphone reported on February 3rd that the source @UniverseIce posted a tweet on the X platform yesterday (February 2nd), disclosing the initial production plan for Samsung Galaxy S26 series of mobile phones and revealing a significant adjustment in the brand’s product strategy.
According to the pie chart, on the Galaxy S26 series models, Samsung has allocated the majority of its production resources to the Ultra models this time. It plans to produce approximately 3.6 million units of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. In contrast, the initial production volume of the standard version Galaxy S26 is only 700,000 units, and the large-screen version Galaxy S26 Plus is even lower at 600,000 units.

Historical data shows that the Ultra model usually accounts for more than 50% of the total sales of the Galaxy S series. For the first-time buyers (Early Adopters), they tend to pursue the ultimate performance and the latest technology. Therefore, the vast majority of the initial orders go to the Ultra version. The standard and Plus versions have performed poorly in the high-end market, prompting Samsung to make such a significant “20/80 rule” type division in its production planning.
