Igeekphone News, November 7th: The source @SPYGO19726 posted a tweet on the X platform yesterday (November 6th), revealing that the Samsung Exynos 2600 chip has outstanding image processing capabilities and can support a single 320-megapixel camera or three 108-megapixel cameras working simultaneously. And it can record 8K HDR10+ videos at 60fps.
Igeekphone quoted a blog post as saying that Samsung has redesigned the image signal processor (ISP) of the Exynos 2600, based on an advanced 2-nanometer fully wraparound gate process (which can better control current compared to traditional FinFET technology and further enhance chip performance and efficiency), and integrated a multi-core architecture.
The image processing unit (ISP) of Exynos 2600 not only supports high-pixel sensors, but its HDR engine can also fuse five frames of images and process 14-bit RAW format data, significantly enhancing image detail and color accuracy in low-light environments.
In terms of video recording, this chip can support 8K resolution, 60 frames per second HDR10 + video recording, or 120fps 4K video recording, far exceeding the level of current mainstream flagship phones. The chip’s internal bandwidth of up to 1.8TB/s also enables it to smoothly run advanced imaging functions such as AI-driven scene segmentation and super-resolution zoom.
Although the Exynos 2600 has powerful image processing capabilities, the latest leaks indicate that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra phone will not fully utilize these top-notch features.
It is reported that the camera module of the S26 Ultra remains largely the same as that of its predecessor, the S25 Ultra, with only the 3x telephoto lens upgraded from 10 million pixels to 12 million pixels. The specific configuration is expected to include a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel front camera.
