Igeekphone reported on May 7th that according to the blogger “i Ice Universe”, Samsung’s flagship phones have started to optimize towards thinness and lightness, with the body continuing to be reduced.
The new generation of foldable screen Galaxy Z Fold7 is 3.9mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded, which will set a new record for the thinnest foldable screen in the world.
It is reported that the current thinnest foldable screen (inner fold) in the world is OPPO Find N5, which is 8.93mm when folded and 4.21mm when unfolded.
The thinnest model when unfolded is the Huawei Mate XT triple Fold, with its thinnest part being 3.6mm when unfolded.
Based on the current data, the unfolded thickness of the Galaxy Z Fold7 has approached triple folding, far exceeding that of ordinary inward-folding phones.
It is worth noting that thanks to the application of the new battery technology, after a significant thinning, the Galaxy Z Fold7 still maintains the same 4400mAh battery as the previous generation and does not bring additional battery life burden.
According to the leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will be released in July this year. It adopts an 8.2-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch outer screen. The inner screen uses under-display camera technology and presents a hole-free effect.
Equipped with the same 200-megapixel main camera sensor as the S25 Ultra, it is powered by the Samsung S5KHP2 CMOS and features a 1/1.3-inch sensor. Its imaging capabilities will be on par with those of the high-end Ultra series.
The core is equipped with a 4.47GHz high-frequency version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra chip, supplemented by 12GB of memory and Adreno 830 GPU.
