Xiaomi Black Shark Gets Face Recognition In Update

Now about two months after its official launch Xiaomi announces that gaming smartphone Black Shark will receive its first update. This update comes with several new features, the most obvious of which is the facial recognition.

As we can see in the official changelog released by Black Shark on Weibo, the update is released on June 25 through OTA. As for the rest of the news, the device is enhanced with the HDR for games and videos, various features like the screenshot with three fingers, the lifting function to turn on the display and other small goodies. There is no lack of improvements to the stability of the system and the correction of some bugs.

In addition, this update brings HDR mode for games and video, which greatly improves video and visual effects, and enhances the game screen. This update also allows the smartphone to pick up the screen automatically, three fingerprint screen functionality, long standby mode, low battery alert etc. And this new system version improves the stability of the system, optimizes comfort and sensitivity with automatic adjustment of brightness, improved standby power consumption and greater compatibility with other headphones.

This update also addresses some issues related to applications and games when using two SIM cards. Like some user situations, we do not receive WeChat and QQ messages, after clearing background applications, errors in background wallpapers, and a few more normal bugs that have been resolved.

The Xiaomi Black Shark has a FullHD + display, equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and 8GB RAM. It has liquid cooling to cool the smartphone while playing, reducing core temperatures by up to 8 degrees. It has a dedicated One-Touch SHARK button, which provides a high-performance and more immersive gaming experience.

Xiaomi Black Shark has a Pixel works dedicated image processing chip that offers intelligent motion compensation technology, image enhancement, detailed dark environment processing for smooth video quality while playing. Its antenna lines are X-shaped so there are no signal problems when holding the phone vertically or horizontally.
