As yesterday’s preview, today MIUI official announces good news that they have finished 40 models to upgrade to MIUI 9 OS. On January 17, MIUI 9 Stable version has received to upgrade for last batch, except very old models, almost all models of Xiaomi and Redmi series have been covered, including Xiaomi MI2, 2S released five years ago.
This time the upgrading models includes Xiaomi MI2/2S, MI Pad, Redmi Note, Xiaomi MI Note, Redmi 2, Redmi 1s, Redmi 2A, Redmi 3S, Redmi 3X, Redmi 4a, Redmi Note 3 netcom, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4X advanced version, Redmi Pro, including 40 models in total.
Besides Xiaomi MI1/1S, Xiaomi MI 2A, other models will all support upgrading to latest MIUI 9 OS, it is said that besides a few of old models, other Xiaomi devices including Xiaomi phones, Xiaomi mi pad all can upgrade to latest MIUI 9 OS.
There are two ways to upgrade to MIUI 9 OS.
One is by Xiaomi official online upgrade (OTA), receiving official news to upgrade, or from ‘Settings’-> ‘My device->MIUI version’ to detect upgrading.
The other way is to go to MIUI forum to download ROM to upgrade by manual, now MIUI forum page can offer all models to upgrade MIUI 9 Stable version.
With MIUI 9 OS upgrading finishing, MIUI 10 in 2018 will start to be attracted by more MI fans, stay tuned.
