In the previous week, Xiaomi had confirmed that it would be holding a press event on April 25 to unleash its next smartphone. Since then the rumor mill has been speculating that the company may debut the Xiaomi Mi 6X mid-range phone. However, there has been no official confirmation on it yet. Earlier today, Xiaomi had released a new teaser on its official Weibo account to confirm that Mi 6X will indeed debut on April 25. The teaser also shows the backside of the handset and the official Weibo post that accompanies reveals its camera details.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X can be seen in blue color in the new teaser. It seems to be wearing a metal body with rounded corners. The rear panel has a vertically aligned dual camera setup like the iPhone X and it is also fitted with a fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has confirmed that one of the sensors present in the dual camera setup is of 20-megapixel. It has also confirmed that the device has a selfie camera of 20-megapixel. Recent leaks have revealed that the rear side features Sony IMX486 12-megapixel + Sony IMX376 20-megapixel dual camera setup and the frontside is equipped with Sony IMX376 20-megapixel selfie camera.
According to TENAA listing of the Xiaomi Mi 6X, it is expected to come with 5.99-inch FHD+ display. It could be fueled by Snapdragon 660 SoC and 2,910mAh battery. It could be available in RAM options of 4 GB / 6 GB and storage variants of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.
