Xiaomi is one of those who prefer not to get into the crowd, but to hold their premieres outside such global events. Therefore, the rumor about the intention of the Chinese brand to announce the flagship Mi 7 at the end of February on MWC 2018 was initially perceived skeptically and now completely disproved. According to the online edition of Android Headlines with reference to an anonymous high-ranking employee of Xiaomi, the company does not plan “high-profile” premieres at MWC.
Nevertheless, among the participants of the Mobile World Congress 2018, which will be held from 26 February to 1 March in Barcelona, Xiaomi HK Limited is announced, the location of its stand in Hall 6 Stand 6B30. It is possible that on it we will see a frameless smartphone Mi Mix 2s with a design in the style of the iPhone X or Mi Mix 3. The characteristics of these devices repeatedly “surfaced” on the Internet, as well as the assumptions about their debut on MWC 2018.
Recall that Xiaomi is not the only known smartphone brand, whose representative said that there are no plans to represent flagship devices at the Mobile World Congress. The other day, insiders confirmed plans for HTC to announce the U12 model in March or April, that is, after the completion of the exhibition, and earlier similar information was received regarding LG and Huawei. As for Xiaomi Mi 7, the date of its announcement has not yet been named. It is not excluded that the premiere will take place in April, as this year his predecessor was introduced one year ago.
