Few days ago, firmware files that belong to the Xiaomi Mi 7 had revealed several information on its upcoming features. It was also revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 may arrive with a notched display like the iPhone X.
According to the information that was revealed through the firmware files, the Mi 7 will be arriving with an OLED display. It is speculated that it may feature a 6.01-inch OLED screen supplied by Samsung. It was also revealed that the Mi 7 would be equipped with 3,400mAh battery.
Through the teardown of the MIUI camera it was also revealed that the Mi 7 would be featuring a notch. The presence of the notch indicates that the screen will offer an aspect ratio of 19:9. The iPhone X’s notch features a complex TrueDepth Camera for Face ID that scans the face of the user in 3D. The Mi 7 may not feature such an advanced facial recognition system, but it may feature an IR emitter that would be able to identify the user’s face by scanning various facial features. It is speculated that the Mi 7 may feature an under-display fingerprint scanner. It will carry support for wireless charging.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is slated to get unveiled on March 27. Hence, the Mi 7 is speculated to debut in May or June.
