The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop is the most direct weapon that any computer manufacturer could point to Razer. The design is clearly inspired by Apple’s models. Let’s get to know this important Chinese novelty. The presentation of the Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop took place a few days ago and was overshadowed by the launch of the smartphone Mi Mix 2s.
According to official data, the body measurements of the Mi Gaming Laptop are 364.0mm x 265.2mm x 20.9mm and weigh 2.7 kg. For the above data, it is a “lightweight” player in the game. It is worth mentioning that it uses a narrow border design, according to the official data, the border width of 9.9mm (both sides), screen share of 81%. The computer also stands out because it has no printed brand logo, which the brand describes as having preferred to design a clean and subtle product.
Once connected the Mi Gaming Laptop is no longer discreet, with a large number of LED elements to light up, either under the keyboard or the side. The first part of the control, Mi Gaming Laptop keyboard keys using a hyperbolic keycap, key process is 1.8mm, support 30-key anti-collision. It can also be seen from the figure below that its palm rest area is very large.
It is worth mentioning that this time the Mi Gaming Laptop has a common programmable function button on the left side of the C surface. In the actual use process, you can customize some shortcut keys according to your own needs.
Of course, as a Gaming Laptop, colorful lighting effects are also indispensable. The lighting effect of Mi Gaming Laptop consists of two parts, one is the C-side keyboard area, and the other is the light strips on both sides of the fuselage. Among the keyboard sections, the 5 programmable function keys on the left are one partition, and the main keyboard area is composed of three other partitions.
Slightly thicker than the Razer Blade, a reference in the segment, the new weapon has four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C and LAN access.
Inside the Mi Gaming Laptop uses the Intel Core i7 7th generation processor, accompanied by 16GB of RAM in its most elementary version and can amount to 32GB. For maximum performance two choices of Nvidia graphics card: GTX1060 or GTX1050Ti. On the left side of the keyboard place special customizable buttons, one of which immediately activates the cooling system to extract the maximum performance while playing.
The cooling system chosen by Xiaomi does not use Max Q technology, as for example with Asus Zephryus or Acer Predator Triton 700. Xiaomi’s solution goes through a specially designed heat extraction system that expels hot air through the sides back.
The prices of this machine start at 5999 Chinese yuan (about $951.50) which corresponds to the GTX1050Ti model of the lower range. For the top version, it is necessary to spend 8999 yuan (about $1427.33). Sales start on April 13 in China. At the end of the box, the Xiaomi Mi Gamin Laptop has a Chinese version of Microsoft Windows installed.
