In chipset field, we know these brands such as Qualcomm, Samsung, Mediatek and Huawei , but in 2016, there is a new chipset brand to join, it is Xiaomi, in current mobile processor market, most processors are from Qualcomm, Mediatek and Samsung, which also cause the processors are very expensive but no choice to use. Now Xiaomi also develops its own processor, and releases a Surge S1 processor, but it doesn’t stop to develop the next generation, recently, Xiaomi next generation chipset will be released soon, it will call Surge S2.

Previously Surge S1 is just for trial, in performance it has gap from Snapdragon 625 processor, and it doesn’t support CDMA network,  this time Surge S2 is said to use 14nm process, Quad core Cortex-A75 and Quad core Cortex-A53 bit, we have no idea about its performance, but we can be sure the craftsmanship will be improved a lot.

It is reported that Surge S2 will be used first on Xiaomi MI6C, which will use a 5.65 inch bezelless screen, as thin and light as Xiaomi MI5C, so its dimensions should be similar to Xiaomi MI6, in other aspect, there will be no more news to leak, but taking bezelless screen into consideration, this Xiaomi MI6C should aim at dual rear camera and optical zooming, as for whether it supports NFC or other hardware, still wait for more news.
