Apart from smartphones, Xiaomi is known for launching wide range of smartphones under different categories. Today, Xiaomi has launched a very lightweight pair of sunglasses in China.
The new sunglasses sport a minimalist design. The frame of the glasses is made out of very lightweight metal. It only weighs 18 grams. The two metal beams can be seen between the two lenses. The polarized nylon lenses are round in color and have a brown tint that helps in blocking ultraviolet radiation.
Polarized nylon lenses are used as face shields by astronauts to protect them from solar UV rays and infrared radiation. These lenses are not easily breakable since it has a density of 1.02g. It protects the eyes from fatigue and also reduces glares to deliver clearer vision. Nylon lenses are usually found on top quality and luxury sunglasses. However, the Xiaomi sunglasses brings it to the users at very low price. It carries “Turok Steinhardt” branding. The placement of the nose pads makes it quite comfortable to wear.
The sunglasses have designed ergonomically to suit Asian face. It is now available for buying at Xiaomi stores in China with a pricing of 199 Yuan. It is also available online at MI.com (Mainland China edition). Xiaomi has been launching sunglasses since a couple of years. Last year also, Xiaomi has launch TS branded sunglasses, but one that is unveiled has a more retro appeal.
