Today, ZTE released the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition this afternoon to pay tribute to China’s manned spaceflight. The phone is equipped with third-generation under-screen camera technology to bring a perfect full-screen, 64MP custom optical triple main camera, equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and ZTE’s unique independent security chip.
According to the official statement, the Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition integrates the latest off-screen camera technology, multi-camera fusion computing photography, super performance, and top-level security.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition is inspired by the light and shadow of time travel in appearance design and integrates the shuttle ridgeline into the shape of the back panel. The three main cameras simulate the porthole design, making the overall space more aesthetically pleasing. In the production process, the back cover of the fuselage is made of HT Xuanjing ceramic material, combined with the integrated nano-casting process.
The phone continues the third-generation under-screen camera technology to achieve a fully integrated and complete screen form. In terms of display quality, it is equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED flexible curved screen, has a full-screen 120Hz intelligent high refresh rate, can realize 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and supports 1.07 billion colors.
The Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition adopts a 64MP three-camera design, which is a 64MP custom IMX787 superhuman main camera, a 64MP custom IMX787 ultra-wide-angle main camera, and a 64MP periscope telephoto main camera, providing an overall 5.7x optical zoom, supports three main cameras lightning capture, three main cameras preset focus, three main cameras 8K videos, dual Sony IMX787 sensors, multi-camera simultaneous recording and shooting, super night scene, camera family and more image functions.
In terms of performance, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 processor, with UFS3.1 and a full-blooded version of LPDDR5, providing a large 5000mAh battery and 80W super-fast charging, and supports Wi-Fi 6.
The device has a built-in independent security chip that has passed the national secret certification. It has an independent CPU, independent algorithm, independent storage space, and an independent transmission channel. The entire data encryption process has reached the national commercial encryption testing authority certification. ZTE MyOS provides dozens of privacy security settings such as privacy guard, privacy double, and hierarchical authorization.
IT Home learned that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition will start pre-sale on the entire network immediately. The 12GB+512GB version is priced at 5,898 yuan (about $823), and the 18GB+1TB version is priced at 7,698 yuan (around $1075). At 10:00 am on December 6th, the omni-channel sales will be officially launched.
