On July 21, Huawei has announced its three new Smartphones, the Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, and Nova 5i, alongside a Gift Box Edition of Nova 5 Pro. And Today, this Gift Box Edition went officially on sale at JD which is the most popular online retailer of China. The smartphone is offered at 2999 yuan (around $436) for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
Inside the sky-blue box is a Forest Green variant of the phone with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There is a beautiful case with a painting of some Chinese mountains, a screen protector, a notebook with a cover that has the same mountain drawing as the case, a phone stand, and a brooch.
Aside from the special back cover and the other merchandise, the Huawei Nova 5 Pro is basically unchanged. Which means the Huawei Nova 5 Pro National Treasure Edition comes with a 6.39-inch “pearl screen” (high quality) with a resolution of 2340 × 1080.
The Kirin 810 chipset is present under the hood of the device with a 32MP front the camera and four rear cameras; including a primary 48MP, secondary 16MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. Finally, the battery capacity is 3500mAh.
The Smartphone is also equipped with GPU Turbo technology which is a soft and hard graphics acceleration technology that improves the GPU performance of the phone. Basically, it upgrades the EMUI operating system and removes the processing bottleneck between the GPU and the CPU.
The Nova 5 Pro Gift Box Edition is priced at 2999 yuan (about $436) and is available for pre-order on JD.com ahead of the first sale on August 8.
