Huawei finally announced to the public that they will launch the latest smartphone named Nova 7i on February 14, 2020, in Malaysia. However, this is not really a new smartphone, but a re-brand of the Huawei Nova 6 SE which was inaugurated in China early last month.
Huawei Nova 7i will carry a 6.4 inch LCD screen with FHD + resolution by carrying a perforated screen design located in the upper left corner to place the front camera with a resolution of 16MP. At the back, this smartphone will be equipped with quad-camera settings (consisting of a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP camera depth.
The performance of the Huawei Nova 7i will rely on the Kirin 810 SoC processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory storage. Smartphones that will run Android OS 10 and display the EMUI 10 interface, unfortunately, will not be supported with Google Mobile Service (GMS) services due to trade bans set by the US to Huawei.
Huawei Nova 7i will feature a fingerprint scanner that is installed on the side and powered by a 4200mAh battery with support for fast charging 40W. Huawei claims that with this fast charging feature it will charge the battery up to 70% in just 30 minutes.
So far, Huawei in Malaysia has not revealed the official price of the Nova 7i, so like it or not, we have to wait until the launch day of the smartphone. But in the Chinese market, Huawei Nova 6 SE is sold for 2199 yuan (about USD $320).
