The announcement of Redmi 9 has not yet taken place, but all the details about the new smartphone have already appeared on the network. One of the online stores published official promotional materials revealing the design, specifications, and all key features of the device.
As previously suggested, Redmi 9 will resemble last year’s Redmi Note 8 Pro. It will receive a drop-shaped screen and a quad-camera with a fingerprint scanner at the back. The camera module is visually highlighted in a circle – a similar solution was previously used in Redmi K30 (aka Poco X2 ). The back cover, judging by the description and images, will have a textured surface. There are three colors – Green, Purple, and Grey.
According to the data presented, Redmi 9 will receive a 6.53-inch display with Full HD + resolution, an eight-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor, 2/3/4GB of RAM, a 34/64GB drive, a 5020mAh battery, USB Type-C connectors and 3.5 mm, an infrared port for controlling household appliances and an additional microphone for noise reduction. The description says that on one charge the device is able to work 19 hours in video playback mode, 34 hours in a telephone call mode, and 14 hours as a navigator.
The main camera of the smartphone will be represented by four modules with the main one at 13MP, ultra-wide-angle at 8MP, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for blurring the background in portrait mode.
The presentation of Redmi 9 is expected soon. Previous leaks indicate that the price of the smartphone will be $140 for the 3 + 32GB version and $150 for 4 + 64GB. Probably the option of 2 + 32GB will be even cheaper.
