Huawei is expected to introduce the Mate 40 series on October 22. The closer the launch date, the more news leaks of Huawei’s flagship products are. Recently, the installation interface image of Huawei Mate 40 Pro has appeared, giving us some almost official information about this smartphone.
According to the leaked image, Huawei Mate 40 Pro owns Kirin 9000 processor and pre-installed EMUI 11 user interface based on the Android 10 operating system. Moreover, the device does not support Google Mobile Services (service of Google) and will instead be Huawei’s mobile service.
It’s noteworthy that Android 11 has been released, but since Google just started uploading open-source code last month, the Chinese manufacturer doesn’t have enough time to develop the latest software for its smartphones.
Leaked images of the device show curved edges at the sides and a pill-shaped cutout to house the dual selfie camera. Around the back, we can see a circular camera module with LEICA branding in the middle. Previous leaks have also revealed that the Huawei Mate 40 is expected to have a 2,772 x 1,344 px display, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The device owns an octagonal rear camera cluster and a dual selfie camera on the front.
The camera module is said to include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 20MP ultrawide sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens and the fourth one could be a ToF sensor. The dual selfie camera might consist of a 13MP main camera and a 3D ToF sensor.
Huawei Mate 40 is equipped with a 4400mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging technology via USB Type-C port, which promises to deliver impressive charging capabilities. However, these are just the latest leaks about the Huawei Mate 40 product line. We will wait for the official news to come from the company.
